Middleborough Tourism Committee

Celebrating our history. Supporting our community. Helping people discover Middleborough.

The Middleborough Tourism Committee works to promote the town’s history, businesses, attractions, events, and community experiences — and to welcome residents and visitors alike.

Who We Are

The Middleborough Tourism Committee is a Town committee appointed by the Town Moderator and made up of volunteers who care about sharing what makes Middleborough worth visiting.

Committee members and the many helpers who support our programs work to promote local events, preserve and interpret historic places, maintain Discover Middleborough as the committee’s public tourism website, and connect visitors with restaurants, shops, outdoor places, and community experiences.

Discover Middleborough is the official tourism website of the Middleborough Tourism Committee — a practical guide to events, dining, shopping, Things to Do, and the Oliver Estate.

Meet the Committee

The Tourism Committee is a volunteer Town body. Its members are appointed by the Town Moderator and change over time as terms expire and new volunteers step forward.

Discover Middleborough does not maintain a separate member directory. For the most current committee membership, meeting dates, agendas, and minutes, use the Town of Middleborough’s official Agenda Center.

Historic stewardship

Caring for the Oliver House

The Town of Middleborough owns the Oliver House at 445 Plymouth Street. Since mid-2026, the Middleborough Tourism Committee has served as the official caretakers of the Oliver House.

Committee members and volunteers help support public programming, tours, events, preservation awareness, and the work of welcoming visitors to this historic property — while the Town remains the owner.

Proceeds from appropriate Oliver House programs and special events, including paranormal investigation nights where offered, help support the ongoing upkeep, care, and restoration of the property.

Get Involved

Tourism works best when the community is part of it. Whether you are a local business, community organization, resident, or someone who would like to volunteer with events and programs, we would like to hear from you.

Serving on the Tourism Committee itself is a Town appointment made by the Town Moderator. Volunteering to help with events, programs, or Oliver Estate activities is separate — and always welcome.

Committee Meetings

Tourism Committee meetings are public meetings of a Town committee. Agendas, minutes, and meeting notices are posted through the Town of Middleborough’s Agenda Center in accordance with applicable open-meeting procedures.

Meeting dates and locations may change. Refer to the Town’s posted agendas for the current schedule rather than relying on an unofficial recurring date.
